Red Bull Racing Signs Daniel Ricciardo to a Two-Year Contract

Ricciardo to Return to Red Bull Racing as a Third Driver in 2024

Daniel Ricciardo has signed a two-year contract with Red Bull Racing, including an average annual salary of $6.25 million. The contract includes an option for a third year. Ricciardo will join Red Bull Racing as a third driver for the 2024 season.

Ricciardo was one of the highest earners in Formula 1, earning a reported $15 million per year at Renault and McLaren. However, his salary was significantly reduced when he took a reserve role at Red Bull Racing.

Red Bull Racing will pay Ricciardo $2 million for the 2024 season. Ricciardo will also receive $21 million from McLaren as a stipulation for his release from the team.

Daniel Ricciardo has a long-term contract with Red Bull Racing, according to Helmut Marko. Ricciardo joined AlphaTauri midway through the 2023 season and will remain with the team for the 2024 season.
